Problem Note 20283: "Cannot be used as datasource" message received when attempting to run
task on data in a separate sheet and workbook
If you open a new workbook in Microsoft Excel and attempt to run a task
on a sheet in an open but separate workbook in the SAS Add-In for
Microsoft Office, you might receive the following error:
The range, Ax:Exx, cannot be used as a data source.
It does not cantain any data.
This will typically happen when you open or create an Excel spreadsheet
in a workbook. If you then open the new workbook and attempt to run a
task on the data in the first workbook, the SAS Add-in for Microsoft
Office is not recognizing the open workbook. Instead it only recognizes
the current workbook. To run the task at this time, you must run it in
the current workbook in which your data resides.
